Our T1 Markets review found you can use the broker to trade over 30 cryptocurrencies. All the main ones are available, but for certain altcoins you may need to use a different broker. One of the plus sides of T1 Markets in terms of usability is that it has high crypto liquidity so you can use it during times of high trade volume.
Accounts - What account types are available?
T1 Markets offers several accounts for traders to choose from. There are three variations of the main account – Silver, Gold and Platinum. The main way in which these accounts differ are the spreads and leverage.
Silver accounts have spreads starting from 0.07, Gold accounts have spreads from 0.05, while Platinum accounts have spreads from 0.03. In terms of leverage, the max for Silver accounts is 1:200, for Gold it’s 1:400, and for Platinum, it’s 1:500. If you want a Gold or Platinum account, you’ll need to complete the questionnaire when you sign up and T1 Markets will decide based on your trading experience.
Another option is the T1 Markets Professional account. This has several advanced benefits, including ultra-tight spreads, 100% margin call level, 15% stop out and a personal account manager. There are three ways you can trade on MT4 via T1 Markets – on the MT4 WebTrader, the desktop platform, and the MT4 App. The WebTrader platform allows you to instantly trade on MT4 via a browser without having to download any software. The WebTrader offers the full functionality of the downloadable version of MT4. The main difference is that the web version is more reliant on internet connection speed and consumes a lot of internet and CPU usage.
If you want to trade on your smartphone or tablet you can download the MT4 App for free on both iPhone and Android.
Trading Payments - Impressive range of payment options
Our T1 Markets review found this broker offers a very impressive range of payment methods. It accepts several different credit and debit cards, including VISA, MasterCard and Maestro, but what’s really impressive is the range of alternative payment methods.
You can deposit and withdraw using the popular e-wallets Skrill and Neteller, which provide a very fast, simple and secure way of making payments into your T1 Markets trading accounts. Other accepted payment methods include SafeCharge, MIR Limited, Decta, Payvision, Orangepay, Trustly, Emerchantpay and Paysafe. With so many options to choose from, T1 Markets has a payment method to suit virtually all types of traders.
One of the best things about T1 Markets is that there aren’t any fees whatsoever for depositing and withdrawing from your account! This means payments at this broker are much cheaper than at some others. Withdrawals can take up to five working days to reach your account depending on your chosen withdrawal method. E-wallets like Skrill and Neteller typically offer the fastest payout times.
Customer Service - Phone, live chat, and email support
Customer service is one of the main things you should look for when choosing a crypto broker. After all, it’s important to be able to get the help you need when you need it. We’re glad to report that our T1 Markets review found the broker’s customer service to be very impressive.
There are four ways you can get in touch with the T1 Markets support team – phone, contact form, email and live chat. Phone and live chat are the quickest ways of getting in touch – you can call them on +80040408888 and access the live chat option within your account.
The email contact is [email protected], or you can fill out a contact form from the ‘contact us’ section of the T1 Markets website. If you choose the contact form option you just need to provide your name, email address and then write your message.
The T1 Markets support team is available from 07:00 – 18:00 GMT, Monday to Friday. We tested the customer support via each of the four methods and found them to be responsive, friendly and helpful on each occasion.
You don’t just need to take our word for it, either. T1 Markets has also been named as the broker with the Best Customer Service at the ADVFN International Finance Awards 2021, which proves how well this broker treats its users.
Regulation and Deposit Insurance - Fully regulated and licensed
T1 Markets is regulated and licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under license number 333/17. CySEC is one of the world’s leading governing bodies when it comes to licensing financial trading companies and T1 Markets is therefore a safe and secure platform to use.
The CySEC license means T1 Markets abides by the guidelines set out by the governing body. For example, this means that the broker uses industry-standard data encryption to ensure your account and personal information are kept secure. It also means that you will be compensated in the unlikely event that anything ever happened to the broker which affected your funds.
Our T1 Markets experience and rating guide found it has even won the Most Trusted Broker award from the 2020 World Financial Awards, so you can certainly trade in confidence when you use this broker.
Additional Features - Other features found in our T1 Markets reviews
One of the areas in which T1 Markets really stands out is its educational offering. In fact, it picked up the award for Best Forex Education Provider at the 2020 World Finance Awards. This is thanks to its Education Centre which features a fantastic selection of resources.
With articles, courses and ebooks, T1 Markets offers a wealth information that’s perfect for beginner traders. For example, you can learn all about different trading instruments, their associated fees, and trading strategies.
The T1 Markets Education doesn’t just cater to beginners, though. There’s also plenty of useful material that experienced traders can use to inform their trading. These include earnings reports on major market players, an economic calendar, and even trade ideas based on technical analysis of fund managers, hedge funds, central bunks and other key financial institutions.
Our T1 Markets review found it isn’t only a good choice for crypto traders, as it also offers a variety of other markets. These include forex, commodities, stocks and indices, so it’s definitely a versatile platform that’s ideal if you’re interested in a range of different instruments.
As T1 Markets is a CFD broker, you can trade with leverage, meaning you can trade with increased capital that’s effectively borrowed from the broker. The maximum leverage you can trade with varies from asset to asset – it’s 1:2 for cryptocurrencies, 1:5 for stocks, 1:10 for commodities, 1:20 for indices and 1:30 for forex pairs.
It’s also worth mentioning some of the other awards T1 Markets has picked up. For example, it picked up the World Forex Award for Best CFD Broker in 2020. It has also been named as the Best Crypto Broker by Brokercheck and the 2020 Forex Awards, so it’s clear that this is a highly regarded platform.
Trade Offer - What can you trade with T1 Markets?
T1 Markets offers users the chance to trade over 30 cryptocurrencies in the form of CFDs. Let’s take a closer look at the T1 Markets crypto trading product.
Trading Costs - What are the costs involved?
As T1 Markets offers cryptocurrency trading in the form of CFDs, the main fee you need to contend with is the spread. The spread is the difference between the buy and sell price and is a fee taken by the broker each time you make a CFD trade.
The spreads T1 Markets charge for crypto CFDs are flexible and vary depending on the cryptocurrency you’re trading. They also depend on your account level, as Gold and Platinum users can benefit from tighter spreads from Silver users. We rate the spreads as fairly average if you have a user account, but competitive for Gold and Platinum users.
Another cost you need to consider when trading cryptocurrencies at T1 Markets is the swap charge. Also known as a rollover fee, this is charged when you hold a position overnight. The only case in which you won’t be charged a swap fee is if you choose to use T1 Market’s Islamic Account.
T1 Markets doesn’t charge any additional commissions on top of the spread and swap fees for crypto CFDs.
Trading Conditions - Keep these in mind
At T1 Markets, you can trade cryptocurrencies via CFDs (contracts for difference). If you’re not familiar with CFDs, they are derivatives that allow you to speculate on the price of instruments without actually owning the underlying asset. So for example, at T1 Markets you can carry out Bitcoin trading by buying and selling Bitcoin CFDs, but you won’t actually own any Bitcoin.
There are pros and cons to this method of crypto trading. It’s suitable for many traders because it allows you quick and easy access to the crypto market without having to go through an exchange or use a crypto wallet. It also means you can trade cryptos with small amounts of money. However, while there’s no expiration date for CFDs so you can hold them as long as you like, they get expensive after several weeks due to broker fees. This means CFDs are best suited for short term trading, rather than long term investing.
You can trade over 30 different cryptocurrencies at T1 Markets, including the big hitters like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP, alongside a variety of other altcoins like Monero, Cardano and Lisk. As they come in the form of CFDs, they’re traded against fiat currencies on T1 Markets. You can choose to trade crypto against USD, EUR or GBP.
